  1. True story:

I was driving home from swing dancing on monday night and was stuck in what my father would call

“a bottle neck”. Two songs went by on the radio and the queue of cars hadn’t so much as budged.

I was cold, tired and very irritated.

“Its 12.30am. How can I possibly be f**king well stuck in traffic?”

It dawned on me all a sudden. I’d driven into a taxi rank.
