Wearable Wankery

A curmudgeonly post about the dull Mosaic Music Festival lineup for 2008 is forthcoming, so I thought I would pave the way for it by showcasing a few music tees I found funny recently.

Diesel Sweeties' Elitism Diagram really skewers it. Threadless' Music Snob shirt sold out in every size within days of its release, unsurprisingly, but girls can still enjoy some sale-price snobbery with I Listen To Bands That Don't Even Exist Yet.

[Note: If you happen to buy the last tee through the above link, I get a little credit in my store account. It would make me very happy, but it's up to you. :) ]

I bought a load a few weeks back, including that last tee you mentioned.

Though, Threadless is so saturated here in London, I'm starting to regret having purchased them. (Really need to crank out some designs and screenprint them myself.)

Thanks for the link to the first tee. I really like that one. I might buy it at some point. It's oh so tongue-in-cheek pretentious.

The first one is brilliant.

There's a shop near me that does Threadless tees but they're rather pricey.

Well, if you're going to anything from 8th March to 11th March inclusive, count me in. And maybe my parents too, if it's on 8th or 9th.

Let me know what you're planning. I had a great time last year.

Some Malaysian blog mentioned Broken Social Scene as part of the lineup. Are they?

Russ: I'd suggest you wait till you have music taste to match the Elitism Diagram shirt first. :D

James: Odd, I don't see why people would want to buy from a brick-and-mortar shop with higher prices (given that the target demographic of Threadless tees would surely be Internet savvy enough to be comfortable with online shopping). How expensive are they?

Matt: Will definitely keep you updated!

Benny: I didn't see any mention of them on the official site. But if they do come, I'm still desperate enough here for gigs that I might even have to go to theirs!

okay..Im here again, and i need help again.

I am writing the much dreaded personal statement, and honestly I am rather hands tied and out of ideas. Any tips?

30+ euro? I forget exactly. They're in a vintage shop down town.

I don't know any young people who buy stuff online. None of them have credit cards and they'd rather not have them. I borrow Dads from time to time when i near computer gear but that's about it for me as far as online shopping goes.

Mum looks okay but the rest seem to be aimed at a much older crowd than the sort you usually find at Mosaic. Am I the only one who thinks that?

And just for some random odd reality show linked trivia: Mum's one of Benji's favourite bands.
